and so this is christmas...

so first to give a heads up, i will not have a p-day next monday cuz christmas will be p-day. and i am loving my 12 days of christmas stuff in the package. thx to all.

it has been a really good week, we taught a ton and sunday morning was a crazy run-around to get everyone to church but we brought pretty much everyone: fernando, a 25 year old man who is truly elect. and he loved church. eduardo, his 14 year old neighbor, and also danda, a 16 year old girl who kind of embarrassed us by what she was wearing when we walked into church with her but its all good, we are gonna start teaching some of her friends this week too. all 3 of these people we are planning to baptize this coming saturday or sunday.

the only 2 good progressing investigators we weren´t able to bring to church were fransisca, a 40 something year old woman and her roomate, jérsi, a 21 year old guy who thought he was 14 haha cuz he doesnt know how to read or write so he didnt know how old he was or his own birthday, so we had him get his birth certificate and we told him when his birthday was, and that he is actually 7 years older than he thought haha. i laugh so hard at the things that happen in that house when we´re over there, especially this past week when we found out that these two, fransisca and jérsi, are actually DATING haha yes there is a minimum 25 year difference and we had taught them for like 2 weeks until we found out. it is kind of a secret love affair they are having haha i dont know it is wierd. but we are gonna continue with them this week and bring them to church.

this is pretty much the coolest freakin place to spend christmas, cuz although my area is called cidade verde-nova parnamirim, the big city i am really in is called Natal, which in portuguese actually means christmas, cuz this is like the city in brazil that celebrates christmas the most, they go crazy over it and it is HUGE. the entire city is lit up with lights and decorations it is so cool. so it will be great. until christmas day then, when i shall converse with you guys via telephone.

update:so right after i got done sending my emails today, we got a call informing us elder gimenez was being transferred emergency. so we went home and packed his stuff real quick and he just left. right now i am sitting at the bus station, waiting for my new companion to arrive, elder sammy. he is from vegas and he is a pretty cool guy, i actually lived with him for a couple weeks in currais. but it was sad to say bye to elder gimenez but now i have a new comp i will spend christmas with and the rest of this transfer.
