another week gone by, filled with preaching the gospel, good old tropical viruses, plenty of bucket showers, and..... transfers. before the details, i want to wish auburn a happy birthday this past week!
a lot of people in our zone got transferred but i am staying which i am happy about. my companion elder osborne got transferred and my new comp arrives tonight, and you´ll never guess.... i´m training - again! only this time he is a brazilian so it will be interesting. i dont even know his name yet but i know he is fresh from the CTM. conference was good, but it was almost a 24 hour trip cuz we left the house to get a bus at 3 am the night before, and didnt get home til the next day at 2 am. so i am still trying to catch up on some rest.
we baptized our rapaz named Vinícuis this past week, he is the cousin of a member who we have been visiting and he is awesome. he is 11 years old and his younger sister (picture) will ba baptized in the next couple weeks so it will not count as a baptism for the mission but rather for the ward, cuz she is 8. but we are still gonna teach her and all that good stuff cuz she has been participating in all the church activities with her brother. as for baptisms this week, i am really hoping for this woman we´ve been teaching. her name is Dayane and she is like 25 and has a little boy. we have actually been teaching her for a few weeks now, but this past sunday was the first time we got her to come to church. we brought her and her little boy and they both loved it. so we commited her to baptism the other night for this sunday but she seems really nervous so we will have to help her out a lot.
finally, the long awaited move of my elect family, Daniel and Andrèia was this past week. the (picture) was after church on sunday, their last visit here in this ward. they are moviong to the city of Natal, and by coincidence, the area of Nova Parnimirim, which is the ward of Cidade Verde, where i served. so it will be awesome cuz i know all the members there and the bishop is really great, and the elders that are currently there are good too so i know i am leaving them in good hands. as i have said before, i love this family more than anyone i have ever met or taught so far, and i have no doubt that these are the special people the Lord has been preparing just for me. they have their goals already for baptism and then the TEMPLE, its just gonna take a little bit for their marraige process to go through..... but it was for sure be less than a year, while i am still here, so whenever and wherever their baptism will be, i will definitely be there.
thats it for now. have a good week everybody!
