happy birthday to father sam today (also yesterday was fathers day here) and it looks like you all had fun at the waterpark. i enjoyed the pictures and even laughed when i saw one of the lifeguards and it reminded me of my big surf days. i will have to hit that place up when i get back.
things are great, with lots of people to teach, and busier than ever (aka more stressful than ever) and we had 2 more baptisms yesterday- felipe, who is another one of the 12-13 year old boys we have been teaching, and elizabeth (don't be fooled by another name thats not pronounced the english way). see pictures for both.
so, i don't even know where to start with this girl elizabeth. i don't remember if i talked about her last week. she is 20, and one of the most elect people i have ever baptized or even taught. she is the friend of a member, she went to church and loved it and teaching her has been amazing. she has really been looking and praying to find the truth and getting to know her is another fulfilment of the D&C statement that ´´the elect hear His voice´´ aka they recognize truth, power and authority when they see it and are sensitive to the influence of the holy ghost.
she accepted all the commitments, received an answer to prayer about the livro de mórmon, and it has been exciting seeing her go through this process. her only difficulty was coffee, which she said from the beginning would be impossible for her to give up, but when we did the commitment with her, and helped her to understand it wasn't a commitment with us, but with the Lord. she committed herself, and the next day, she explained after that, she had completely lost ALL desire to even drink it ever again! truly elect- i get happy every time i think about her. the baptism was super, and it was in our morning ward, while the baptism of felipe was our afternoon ward. he is awesome too, and another addition to the YM group- we had to combine the 1st and 2nd lesson at the last minute, so he was actually baptized thanks to a flip chart from way back in the day haha dad should appreciate that one.
still swine virus free... but several missionaries here are not!
don't worry- i am alcohol-izing my hands 100 times a day....
love elder sherwood
aka the fresh prince of joão pessoa

men in black are overrated.
i'll take men in white every time!
what a great letter and wonderful report of the week.
i bet elder sherwood will take that kind of "stress" any day.
and might he have a crush on elizabeth?
What a beautiful Young Women Elizabeth is. Brad's is going to make a great Scout Master to all his little boys.
