this week: muita gente, não muito tempo....
yes, thats right, we had even more new investigators lately and so many other things to do that we hardly had any time this week to teach or do anything. but i guess thats a good thing.... anyway, happy b-day to alisse yesterday who is carrying my new nephew and in other news, i am trunky now that elder salazar left me all alone in this country and my time is running out fast.
this might have been the busiest and most stressful week i have had on the mish. besides filling our days with appointments and people to contact/teach, we made another over night trip to joão pessoa for the council with preident, where i was informed that the zone conference would be in mossoró on monday (yesterday) which was wierd cuz it is never in mossoró and pres. never comes out here. so i had only a few short days to prepare everything and direct the conference and give an hour long power point training to everyone and all that good stuff. usually they have like 2 or 3 weeks to prepare all this stuff but i had the priveledge of doing it all in a couple days. every day this week i went to bed a lot later and got up a lot earlier than normal but everything worked out well.
presidente fernandes and his family got here on friday, he did all the interviews in the zone, then they went to the beach and stuff on saturday and after did divisions, etc. and came to our ward on sunday. sunday night they called me over to the house of the missionaries in urick graff to sleep there with them (their hotel didnt work out so pres and his family are all there in that house sleeping on the ground haha) so he picked me up and we all went over there that night and made food and stuff and then i stayed up til 2 am finishing preparing everything, then waking up at 5 to get to the chapel early. the conference was all day yesterday and it was a success. so i think they are traveling back to JP this afternoon but all i know is i am tired and will take a good nap today. as crazy as the past week has been, i have learned how much i really love president, the sister, and their 5 kids they take with them everywhere.
as far as investigators, we are gonna have to do a lot to make up for our lost time last week, and hopefully baptize Raniele saturday. we had it planned for sunday but towards friday/saturday he started wanting to wait a little bit more (one of the greatest tools the adversary uses in the minds of investigators) and on sunday i even took advantage of pres being at our ward and put him to interview him to help him out. he helped him a lot and he is totaly ready to be baptized, he has felt the spirit strong at church and in our lessons, and is keeping the commitments, so all we need to do in these next couple days is work with his testimony and.... dress him in white.

i am in awe of the things he can accomplish - the requests made/the shortness of notice/the late nights/early mornings - and the success.
these are skills he'll use his whole life. great job, elder brad! (and just to let you know - we're all trunky, too!)
Brad is so great at rolling with the flow and doing is best. He really is a great example to all the Elder's in his mission.
