This monkey didn't like me very much...
but he thought my tie was pretty...
so then he was my friend.oh, if you people only knew how much mango and papaya i am eating...
yeah, i think mossoró has more mango than any other place in the world. and no, i am not even close to getting sick of it. here we also have a lot of those little monkeys from the pictures i sent haha they are hilarious. well, after CARNIVAL ended and everyone got back in town, there were parties in the streets all night for a couple days, and now everything is pretty much back to normal. the heat seems to be getting worse, and it doesn't help that we are currently without power in our house, so no fans. but as long as we have people to teach, i can't complain one bit.
the work has been great, and we have a lot of good investigators and constantly looking for new ones. we finally baptized Ítalo yesterday and he even missed the championship soccer game of his favorite team, and i know how important it was to him. he is 20 and he lives way out there in those areas we are working, and we are trying to teach as many people out there as we can, but no one in his family is that interested so we are gonna contact more of his friends and neighbors. jackson was confirmed and he is doing well, he now goes to church every week in a white shirt and tie which is a very good sign... also there is a guy living with him from Fortaleza that we have been teaching and we should baptize him this or next week, if his new job doesn't have him work on sunday.
we had a fun couple of days when one of my good friends who is ending his mission had his dad come down and get him and they traveled out here and stayed in our house for a couple days. i felt bad for his dad, i don't think he expected to sweat to death like he did haha but we had a good time and showed him around and ate some good brazilian food.
as long as we are talking about food, i would like to announce that i have narrowed it down to 2 places to eat when i get home: either KFC, because i just want some good classic american food, or maybe jack in the box, in which i would order from their breakfast menu, since it is 24 hours. it is a tough, tough decision but i will think it over this week and have an answer soon.
até a próxima,

Brad should ask Brent about tetanus shots in Thailand associated with monkey bites.
Not fun. Keep your distance!!!!!
I'm so excited for/proud of all the work he's getting done.
I'm sure it feels like he's just wrapping up his business these next few weeks.
Monkeys - "no touchy"
Brad still has his "shoulder to the wheel". What a great example he is.
