so, its good to know that i will be home to watch general conference in english. and you guys will be happy to know i didn't change my mind-- texas roadhouse actually was my final decision.
today will be p-day, but the start of a very busy week, since we will leave tonight for joão pessoa, have the council tomorrow (my last) travel back the next night, then leave again thursday night for natal, have the conference thursday (my last) and be back saturday morning, but i still need to fit a division in there with someone in my zone (i feel like i am never even where i need to be- in my own area!) and saturday is already full of just going from one end of the city to the other for baptism interviews.... well it is better than having nothing to do!
we had 3 baptisms marked for sunday, but 2 ended up having to be post-poned for this week, along with a few others we have been preparing. we baptized Ingrid (picture), the niece of a long time member, and with her came many aunts, uncles and little cousins that we met and marked to teach them this week. so with all of them, and also the results of a retention program we´ve been doing, also with people from the english classes and other stuff, we have more people than ever for this week, and only have like 2 real work days so i don't know how its all gonna work out but i know it will.
i had a great experience yesterday--- in testimony meeting, Jackson (the guy we baptized a few weeks ago) bore his testimony. i know that doesn't sound like a big deal, but after seeing him attend church for so long without being a member, then helping him be baptized, and then seeing him up there in a white shirt and tie, testifying, and saying how his life has changed so much for the better since his baptism, it really hit me hard. sometimes we don't see the fruits of our work until long after, but seeing him helps me remember that we are always in a certain area at a certain time for a reason. even if it is the hottest freaking place on earth hahaha.
with only 3 full weeks left in the field, i am doing my best to make it all count. working hard and having fun. that's what its all about.

Once a Mary Poppins fan ~ always a Mary Poppins fan.
He will, of course, be getting the job done and having more than an element of fun right up till the end.
And, by the way . . . hip hip hooray! for finally knowing WHEN the end is!!!!
