minha família e meus amigos, [my family and friends]

well the time has finally come. this will be the last email i write while here in são paulo and the ctm. my flight for joão pessoa leaves tuesday at like 5 am. it is a 6 hour flight. it will be a very bittersweet day, because i am very ready to get out of here and to the feild, but it is gonna be like leaving home all over again, because of saying bye to all the people i have grown close with and will probably never see again. most of the guys in my district, my teachers, and others. but the great news is this- i only know of 3 elders in this entire ctm going to joão pessoa besides me, and 2 of those 3 happen to be elders Lohman and Teyechea, my two best friends here. and the third is elder wright, another one of my good friends. so that will be cool to fly out with all of them and see them on a some-what regular basis for the next 22 months. so i am really excited to go and do what i came here to do and to see my area. i dont know much about it other than i keep hearing it is well known for its beautiful beaches and tropical climate (aka freaking hot weather) so that is cool. so the next time you hear from me i will be in the feild, and i dont know when my new p-day is gonna be so we´ll see. but i am gonna miss elder lohman a lot, i know how rare it is to become best friends with your companion and i´m sure he will be one of my favorites when i look back.

it has been a good week. proselyting on friday was raining again, not nearly as much as that first time but still a lot. we went to a different spot like 45 minutes into sao paulo it was a really cool place. me and lohman had some rude guy shout some absurd things to us about mormons when we walked by him and i just responded with a happy ´´bom dia!´´ (good morning)

a really cool and special occasion was on sunday, we got to watch a live broadcast of the curitiba temple dedication, the people of curitiba brazil were so excited to get a temple finally. on saturday night, the night before, we also watched a live broadcast of a traditional festival the brazilians have the night before a dedication it was awesome. the prophet came and said a few words and then the people were all dressed up in costumes and they did a bunch of singing and dancing stuff. but yeah the sunday dedication was great, president monson did it and you would not believe his sense of humor. that man is hilarious. but it was a very spiritual broadcast i enjoyed it.

other than that not much, thanks to everyone who emails me, i had about 20 new emails when i got on today so i appreciate all of the support. keep it coming! i will give you all a shout out next week from the land of joão!

até proximo semana, [until next week]

I'm craking up imagining Brad shouting back "Good Morning"!

I was laughing at that, too. What I wish I knew is who everyone is in the picture. I so know that Lohman is on the far left, and Teyechea is the 4th from the left.

I can't believe he is leaving the MTC (or Ctm) already! He looks so excited and happy in that picture and I am thinking that one sister (must be the teacher) is feeling like she is standing next to a bunch of trees! She is so cute and short:) I love seeing pictures of missionaries that I know. You can totally see their continence beaming!

Why didn't Brad ever answer my e-mail about coming home to take out the trash??

I love how they have the Elders already teaching and approaching people. Brad will be ready for whatever comes his way.
