TIBIRÍ = FOFOCA CENTER
yes, its true. not too much to report on this week. unfortunately, our baptism fell through yesterday of our guy erik (looks like an american name but don't be fooled- its pronounced EI-DEEK-EEH) so we were pretty upset. his parents are the type of people who are anti-everything. this week we are gonna try and have some serious chats with them and maybe even teach them the lessons and try to change their minds.
we are having to let skarlet go and its pretty sad. someone who has had such powerful answers to prayers about what we´re teaching, even when we´re right there with her. but instead of listening to the still small voice, she is listening to the bad talk of the street. {{some small choices we make in this life, we will regret for all of eternity.}}
yesterday we actually took a lot of people to church though, so thankfully this week will be really busy for us. we have a guy named Enrique (looks like a spanish name but don't be fooled- its pronounced EIN-HEE-KEE) he has been an inactive member for years but only because of work. he has a real strong testimony and is really knowledgeable and talks to everyone about the restored gospel. his wife is not a member so we are gonna try and marry them legally and baptize her, completing a family. (!!!) also a neighbor family that lives by them went to church so we will teach all of them together.
still haven't found a house... we have 2 that we´re gonna look at this week but with no promises. also, i found one of the old flip charts that missionaries used to use way back in the day and i am gonna start teaching with it haha its gonna be awesome.
I wish a HAPPY VALENTINES DAY to everyone. (here in brazil its on the 12th of june)

I love Brad's optimistic outlook even with disappointments. Hopefully Erik's parents will see how happy he is and let him be baptized.
i certainly appreciate brad's phonetic explanations of names. because without them . . . wow! i was way off.
seriously, i'm just excited about all the folks he's found to teach.
now, if he could just find a house!
