6th Area: Natal-Felipe Camarão
10th Companion: Elder Figuereido
where is the LOVE? no, i am not singing the black eyed peas song... i am referring to my lack of letters in the mail. come on folks, show me some LOVE and write! i finished filming some videos so i am sending them home this week.
well, i was called zone leader last night. that's why i am emailing today when the transfer was supposed to be wednesday. i was transferred and got a new companion and everything. i am actually back in Natal now, which is awesome cuz i was hoping to come back here. its not anywhere close to my last area in natal but now i am really close to the beach (picture). my new area is called Felipe Camarão and my new comp is Elder Figuereido, a brazi with 1 year and 9, who i actually already know pretty well and he is a real cool guy.
this week was crazy as always, we had a conference wednesday then 4 of us got stuck in the bus station all night with no way to get back to our areas. when us 2 finally were able to get home, we discovered our power had been cut, and have been living without it and its not too fun. some highlights include: no lights (its pitch dark), no fridge (no cold water to drink), and no fans (sweaty, sleepless nights) among other good stuff. then i got my yearly migraine on friday, stomach sickness saturday and sunday, and half our baptisms fell through saturday night. but, we still had a few for sunday.
yesterday we had 3 baptisms. we were gonna have SIX, and they were all prepared and everything, but because of problems, they were post-poned for next week, so unfortunately i will not be there for it. it would have been the record of baptisms in one day in the area, but it still ended up being the most in a long time in Tibirí. we had Nayara, a 13 year old girl, and the twins, joão felipe and joão victor, both 11 (see picture). it turned out to be a great deal.
i was super sad since i didn't get to say goodbye to any investigators, members, or people i baptized there, but i am excited to be here with all these new opportunities. the kelly clarkson pic turned out awesome! everyone thought it was real! ha ha thanks and have a great week.
