happy halloween from the justice league (2007)

well i hope everyone has had a great "dia das bruxas" (jee-ya-daz-broo-shaz) this past saturday. i loved all the pictures... what great holidays and traditions we have in the USA that the people here south of the equator are missing!

we have had a super busy and super stressful week with trying to organize everything in time to be able to enter into registration for the wedding of washington and estela, which we had plans for on tuesday. and when it didn't work out we freaked out, and had to put it off til wednesday, when once again it didn't work out, until finally on thursday we got it. the absolute last day to enter for the year of 2009 was friday, so we barely made it and now all i pray for is that we can do the same for one more family we are teaching. the only thing is that both weddings will either fall on the last week of the transfer or even a week after, so i will go completely insane if i get transferred here in 3 weeks. for this reason and many others i am really hoping to stay here in Felipe Camarão for at least one more transfer, and i will try explaining my situation to the president, but with these things you can't ever be certain that it will work out.

we had 2 baptisms this week, Rafael (picture) who we baptized on thursday, and Josilene on sunday. Josilene is actually the mom of Bruna (picture) who we baptized a couple weeks ago, and it was actually funny the way things turned out because when we were teaching Bruna, it was her mom who did not want her to be baptized. but when we finally convinced her (Josilene) to visit church with us, we started teaching her and after reading and praying and all that good stuff she really has received a strong testimony. even now when we´re over there and she says the closing prayer, she says, "i thank thee for sending these 2 angels into my life to bring me the truth and open my eyes" and stuff like that. i truly believe she is a happier person now than before she knew the restored gospel.

thanks for the letters and packages i got this past week. tomorrow we are traveling to joão pessoa for a conference, and the next day the zone leaders will stay for the council with prez. so after today is p-day and then a 2 day trip. we are losing half the week already and its not easy to catch up!
the good news is i decided on the first place i am gonna eat--- CHIPOTLE! its official.

much love from brasil

I never realized how tiny the girls/woman are there! BK & his companion look like giants standing next to them.

And don't worry Elder Sherwood- it was your last Halloween, your fave holiday, away from the U S of A!

i totally did a doubletake when i saw that halloween photo.
my first thought?
"he took the superman costume with him????"
silly me.
if brad gets home first, he HAS to wait for drew to go to chipotle.
{or maybe in-n-out.}

Being an angel for Halloween is the best!!! He has always been a really cute Superman.
