2nd area: Cidade Verde
2nd companion: Elder Firmo

beloved ones,
all is well in beautiful brazil, althought the work in this area is a lot harder because there are some wealthier areas here. so this week has been a bit slow but me and my comp get along great and we are working hard to find people.

i guess i should explain the pictures, pic # 1 is of me and firmo making root beer in our house. root beer is one of the great things that doesnt exist in south america so we home made some, and it wasnt the best root beer of my life but it was still good. pic #2 is of me drinking a coconut, thats what everybody does around here since there is a coconut tree every 2 feet, they just grab one and chop off the top and drink the juice and its delicious.

yesterday we were supposed to baptize that woman, mara, but because of complications we are doing it this sunday instead. she is awesome and well prepared for baptism. we had already taught her all the lessons so this week we watched a couple dvd´s with her, and one day we watched one of when christ appeared to the people in the americas and the spirit was really really strong. it increased her testimony a lot and we are gonna have a great baptism for her this sunday.

since i am not in the middle of nowhere anymore i should get my letters and packages a lot sooner, either every week or every other week. the other night i had a dream i was eating at in-n-out burger and it was a little heartbreaking when i awoke and realized there isnt one for thousands of miles. but its all good, brazil is the bomb and i am being really blessed in this beautiful area.

until next week
