dearest family and friends
happy september to all, time is flying. i am loving this new companion and area. it is hot of course but it rains on us almost every day here and it is humid as HECK. the area is huge, like 3 times bigger than currais so we have to take busses around all the time. my comp is so awesome and we get along so well and work awesome together. and here there are a lot of fruits that dont grow anywhere else in the country or world so i am trying a lot of new stuff and people here make us all kinds of juices and stuff its awesome. and a ton of stuff is made with coconut which is amazing cuz we are surrounded my coconut trees everywhere here. the psychic from newport was definitely right about me going somewhere tropical.
i discovered i am losing weight which doesnt make sense cuz i am eating more here than i have in my whole life. its probably from walking and sweating all day every day. i dont know but i do know that my hands are getting stronger from having to hand wash all my clothes every week.
we baptized a family this week and we had to marry them first, we had a wedding ceremony at the church that was so cool. us and 2 other elders sang ´´as familias poderão ser eternas´´ aka families can be together forever, as she walked down the aisle and it was one of the times i have felt the spirit strongest. everyone was crying. also the wedding cake was amazing.
right now we are teaching an awesome lady named Mara, she hasnt commited yet but i am sure she will be baptized. she is a sincere seeker of truth and she came to church and feels the spirit strong when we teach her. also she studied english for 7 years so she is one of the only people here that pronounces my name right. by the way, the way sacrament meeting works here is the bishop finds you an hour before sacrament meeting and tells you that you´re giving a 10 minute talk that day. it happened to me yesterday and it wasnt the first time.
hope everyone is well at home, tell the sisters to take it easy on scoping it out weez for the "smokin´hot ladies." i miss az, especially this time of year but there is nowhere else i wanna be right now.

I think my Brad has found all the weight Brad has lost. It is amazing that missionaries will do anything they are asked to do; talk, sing, eat weird stuff, walk, travel for miles for a contact, all for the true church. I'm so glad he having a great time!!
