hey everyone.

well things have been kinda tough this week. our baptism with mara fell again but we are doing it this week for sure. but we havent had any new investigators or people to teach. this area is really hard to find people. so its just been long hot days of walking and rejection. we had interviews with the presidente fernandes on friday and i talked with him and some of the other elders about it and found out that nobody hardly ever baptizes in this area. so we´ll keep working and see what happens.

one good thing was that yesterday in church Marcelo, who we married and baptized a couple weeks ago, received the melchezideck priesthood and it was great. we have been teaching him and preparing him and he has been way excited for it, and he was well prepared. i think he will be a leader in the church. he also loves being taught about temples so we are preparing him for that, as well as mara, she is also very very prepared for her baptism and thats one of the reasons it is making me so ticked that it keeps getting delayed for several reasons. and also it is delaying her receiving the holy ghost which is gonna help her out a lot with this stuff. but she keeps coming to church and she has a testimony so this will be the week.

so like i said we had interviews and a little meeting with presidente and the sister and i dont even know how to describe pres fernandes haha... he is like an army drill sargeant. he chastises us and yells and screams and yet you still feel the spirit really strong around him haha he is awesome. i feel blessed to have him as my president and i am learning a lot from him. oh yeah i was wrong about getting my letters and packages every or every other week, probably will be every few weeks. and everyone can use my myldsmail address now, but i would still encourage everyone to write letters cuz i dont have time for email. so if you need to email use elder.sherwood@myldsmail.net

well have a good week
i love you all

I loved the part about Marcelo!
I will keep my fingers crossed (and pray) for Mara.

I don't know who reads these comments, but I love hearing how Elder Sherwood is witnessing the Church on a personal level with Marcelo and Mara. She will get there. Keep up the good attitude and example.

Presidente Fernandes sounds like he took a page out of Presidente Steve Ballards play book!!! Oh how I love Marta and Steve. Steve had such a way of inspiring everyone to do their very best with no excuses. Brad has been prepared by the best!!
