6 month anniversary week!
2nd Area: Cidade Verde
2nd companion: Elder Firmo

its been a pretty good week other than the lack of people to teach. by the way last week we ended up waiting at the bus station for a grand total of almost 11 hours. yeah it wasnt my favorite p-day. but they arrived safely so we were grateful.
first to explain the picture. this is my commemoration of 6 months, burning the heck out of this poor tie. dont believe for a minute it was one of my geoffrey beene or bcbg 100% silk.... no this was actually one of elder alan's ties.
so something kinda funny happened the other night, we were out talking to people on the streets and we met this guy who lived in boston for 4 years so he speaks perfect english. so he started speaking english with me and i COULD NOT do it. it was really wierd. i could understand what he was saying but when i opened my mouth to speak it was impossible to say anything in english. my mind was going crazy and i was stumbling over words and it was just a trip. i was laughing about it the rest of the night cuz of how wierd it was... when i write a letter or email like this i can do it cuz i can sit down and think first, but other than that i think my brain only functions in portuguese now.
like i said we have been lacking people to teach and its tough. but we continue to work hard and pray. it doesnt help when we meet people and get excited to teach them and show up the next day only to find out they gave us a fake address. happens a lot. right now we have one guy, he was actually ex-comminucated over 20 years ago but the past while he has become active again and wants to be re-baptized so we will be helping him a lot. its a very complicated process so we´ll see what happens.
when we were coming back from district meeting we saw 2 little monkeys and i wanted to get a picture with them but i didnt have my camera. next time. i am considering kidnapping one and putting a diaper on it and keeping it as a pet. anyway hope everyone has a good week. the church is true.

oh, brad the pyromaniac. boys will always love playing with fire, won't they? that actually looks like a pretty nice laundry room. he probably even has a fridge that opens, too! lucky.
You know he is doing fantastic if he is having to translate into English :-) Six months - Lucky!!!
