2nd area: Cidade Verde
2nd Companion: Elder Firmo
everyone,
well i am staying here in cidade verde, me and elder firmo both. so i am really happy about that. except the p-day of transfers is always really crappy cuz its not really a p-day. we have 2 new elders arriving in our district so we had to go to the bus station to wait for them and take them to their house and stuff, and we have been waiting at the bus station for over 5 hours now. notice the present tense... we just found out its gonna be another 3 hours so we came to a place here nearby the bus station to do email for an hour and then we will return and get them and return home without a p-day. not very fun. oh yeah there is only one bad thing about me staying here haha... we live on the 12th story of a building and remember how on friends they lived accross from "ugly naked guy"? yeah its the same thing with us. i wont go into any detail other than i never look out our south-east window.
so i am pretty upset, our baptism fell through in a way. neire, the woman who recieved a testimony is moving, and we didnt know. she is actually leaving tomorrow night i think and to an area where there is not a ward or branch (yet) so it would be basically impossible to do anything with her. since me and firmo are gonna be here at least another 6 weeks we are gonna have to find some way to find some people to baptize here, this is well known as a tough area so we are gonna pray and work hard and hope the lord places some people in our path. we finally received a couple references (is that the word in english? that or referalls) so we are gonna work with them this week and see what happens.
conference was awesome. i have such a greater appreciation for it now that i have been teaching people all about the importance of prophets and apostles and latter-day revelation. i enjoyed it a lot particularly elder oaks´talk the first session about the reverance of sac. meeting. many people need to hear that especially here in brazil. i love how elder oaks is just hard-core get down to business. thats the same thing i love about my mish president. i also loved the kids singing for the choir haha i kept laughing thinking of ellie last week and her "performances" in the primary program. i am really sad i had to miss that. but i really loved the pictures shalae sent me of noah reading his book of mormon and wearing his superman pajamas haha. probably the 2 best things a kid his age could be doing.
i have been dang tired lately and it is not gonna help that i didnt get a day of rest this week. luckily i have lovely ice cold showers to wake me up every morning haha. oh yeah my comp likes to lose our house keys and get us locked out. fun stuff... not really. but anyway hopefully next week i will have some potential baptisms to report on.

I'm cracking up at the Ugly naked Guy like on Friends.
and
That he already can't think of words in English!
i love that he and drew both get to take ice cold showers.
I hope they have black out drapes in the offending facing window!! I'm sad his baptism fell through and he had to sit his whole p-day at the bus station. I loved reading all 3 boys "favorite" part of conference. Bradley Keith writes such great emails and I love being able to share his mission with you.
