well we didn't save any souls this week...
all of our possible baptisms we had fell through. but i am pretty darn annoyed that my email from last week didnt get sent cuz it was really long, but i just talked about conference and some investigators and Nayara, our AWESOME 18 year old girl that we have been working with forever and we finally baptized her. so to report on this past week, i hope everyone had a great easter and that Roxy girl had a happy birthday.

first i must thank for the package i got filled with tons of stuff that i just happened to be craving for the past year. (peanut butter pretzels are the tastiest thing on this earth) and all the other stuff was great. the past 3 or 4 days have actually been pretty annoying for work because of the holiday... all our investigators went out of town, and nobody is at home to find new people to teach, and everyone is drunk in the streets all day and night. so now that we are back to normal around here we should have some more teaching opportunities and maybe baptize some folks we´ve been teaching for a while now.

so things are getting pretty difficult with my companion. elder p. silva is pretty much incapable of working hard. i have been trying to take it easy with him cuz i thought it was just cuz he was new and having trouble adjusting, but i think he just came out here physically unprepared. peolple don't think about it much, but on the mission (at least in this one) you need to be just as physically and mentally prepared as you are spiritually. he has to walk really, really slow in the streets, and always just wants to call it quits when we still have like 2 or 3 hours left in the day. and living in a group of 4 is good except that i am the only one that ever does the dishes, takes out the trash, or even tries to keep the house clean. so its frustrating but at least i have my man, elder king from maryland, living with me. we are gonna be best buds for life.

we have had some crazy weather around here. hey, it may be hot as can be here, but when we have a storm, they don't mess around. being the season for it, we have rain almost every day and a lot of the tropical storms have been hitting. the other day, it got so crazy, that there is this HUGE wall on the other side of our street, and the wind and rain completely knocked it over, and it came crashing down and killed a man riding his bike. we went over there and pretty much watched him die, it was crazy. the thing is that our house doesn't have windows that seal up the house so when theres a lot of wind and rain, it is all sure to get in. doesn't make a great night sleep! but they say this season only will last a few more weeks. now i gotta run.

ps, i am half done? yeah. actually more, but now that drew and i are hitting our hump days, time has never gone faster.
