BRAZIL CAN NOT BE TOUCHED AT SOCCER. thats all i will say on the matter.

well, in other world news, little children are safe now, michael jackson has finally gone the way of all the earth (as the BoM refers to it). everyone here is talking about it and especially asking my opinion since i´m american- all i know is that i wasn't too sad to hear about it, since he was definitely a creep and a chester, at least for the last decade or 2, but i will say he was responsible for some of the greatest hits of all time, including thriller, beat it, and my personal favorite, billy jean (my ringtone junior year). rest in peace MJ, although it might be tough on that side of the spirit world.

our baptism for the week fell through unfortunately, once again for the parents not allowing their son to follow the commandments of god... the problem is that if they have less than 18 years we can't do anything cuz the parents have to sign the form. and a lot of the people who are most receptive to the spirit are 16 and 17 years old, who we teach a lot of. but we have a few more people still, and we had an awesome lesson the other night with Mariana, the mom of jefferson and novinho who were baptized recently. she didn't want anything to do with the church at first but we have been teaching her for the past month and she has been coming to church and she was telling us how much her life has changed because of the things we have taught her, and how she was almost giving up on a lot of things until we started teaching her the gospel and how much more happy she is now. she wants to be baptized so now she just has to get married.

speaking of weddings, we were so close to marrying that guy Enrique and his wife to be able to baptize her, but now they are saying they wanna wait to the end of the year to get married. we are pretty discouraged. i hope they change their minds. also speaking of weddings what ever happened with jim and pam?

thank you dearly for the package. i loved the stuff the kids made me. the new belt is fresh. the box of rice krispie treats... let's just say they were all gone on the first day. everything else was awesome too.

um abraço,
Elder Sherwood

I think in English he means: "if they are under 18 years old..."

oh, hurray! you DID get a letter after all.

okay . . . here's what i have to say about it:

a} i'm glad brazil won. otherwise, drew {a gringo} would have been hated by all of mexico.

b} "rest in peace MJ" is a direct quote from the letter i got saturday.

c} "what ever happened with jim and pam" made me laugh out loud. it must stink to be behind on all the office happenings.

d} keep up the good work, brad.

e} sounds like you better send more rice krispie treats!

He was a chester indeed! The first paragraph made me giggle through-out.
We will keep praying for Brad's success and hope wedding bells ring soon for Mariana, Enrique and Pam & Jim.
