LOVE DONT CO$T A THING

yes, that's right. so the rain here hasn't stopped for over a week, so more flooded streets and almost our flooded house, and even though i bought the biggest umbrella i could find i am still soaked head to toe all day. its pretty dang inconvenient but i gotta admit its pretty funny too.

not too much to report on as far as the work this week, just lots and lots of work and not too many results. but we are trying to meet a lot of Gilvandro´s buddies and teach them the lessons, and i am confident the Lord will help us finsish out this transfer strong.

happy fab 4th to everyone... did anyone sell Maui Wowi this year??? we wanted to celebrate in an american way by going to an american place to eat today, and the only one for hundreds of miles around here is a "pizza hut" that is on the complete other side of the city so i don't know if we will be able to make it there and back in time. i have actually been seeing a lot of the city of João Pessoa the past couple months with doing stuff all over on p-days and going to meetings and stuff throughout the week and i have learned some neat interesting facts about here:

*João Pessoa is the 2nd greenest city in the entire world.
*it is the eastern-most city in all of north and south america- look at a globe and see where south america comes to a point on the right hand side? yes, that point is JP where i am. that's where it gets it's title "the city where the sun comes first" (the sun comes up at like 4 am here).
*the beaches here are some of the most popular and visited in all of Brazil, particularly the northern ones.
*JP is one of the cities that recieves the most rainfall on earth throughout the year.

yeah, its pretty awesome and i feel really blessed to be serving here. i have a good feeling about this coming week so hopefully next time i will be able to fill you in more on the work!
