6th Area: Natal-Felipe Camarão
10th Companion: Elder Figuereido
well its been quite a week for us. the reason i am emailing today is because this week is the transfer and so today is our p-day and transfers came last night... elder figueiredo was transferred to another zone, we were both really surprised. we were sure he would stay since he only has one transfer left, and i was gonna be his last comp in his last area. we didn't expect it at all so i am pretty sad. but my new comp will arrive tonight, his name is Elder Israel and i know him pretty well an he is a good guy. so i am staying here in Felipe Camarão for at least 6 more weeks.
we had 3 baptisms this past weekend, rodrigo (no, its not pronounced like spanish- its more like HOW-DREE-GUU) who is a friend of gilberto who we baptized 2 weeks ago, also rafaela who is a girl that's living with a member family, and lucas, who was the one we were supposed to baptize last week but couldn't make it- there are pictures for all of them except for rafaela since i didn't have my camera that day. also included is the picture of the baptism of sarah from last week.
we have been working really hard to find new FAMILIES for our teaching group to be able to specifically teach married couples. monday night we organized an awesome family night with 3 non-member families, and invited the bishop and his wife to come and it went really well. 2 of the families are not married we have already entered into the process in the legal system but it will take at least a few weeks. the other couple is already married but are still more hesitant about baptism and everything. but we have seen miracles through much prayer and hard work.
we are still working a lot with anderson and lucinelbe, that one family that we baptized their daughter wendy, and they are also waiting on the marriage process and so we are still teaching them a few times a week. they are one of the most special families to me that i have ever taught. after the french toast and everything they keep bugging me to teach them how to make more american foods, so the other night we went over there and i made all american chocolate chip cookies with them and everyone loved it. they had never seen or heard of it before but now i got myself into a bind cuz they are gonna be bugging me every day now to make it again.
speaking of american food, i changed my mind once again about the first place i am gonna eat when i get home. well the final decision is CHICK-FIL-A. and it will be amazing.
