então... another week gone by. time goes by so fast that the weeks just seem like days now. in just 2 short months i will be calling home to you guys for the last time, and for my last brazilian christmas. speaking of holidays, i am excited for halloween coming up, and i want to wish NOAH a happy birthday this week.
we had 2 baptisms this week- Bruna and Janaina (pictures) they are both teenage girls but never even met before sunday, and now i have a feeling they are gonna become best friends. bruna was easier to teach the past couple weeks, she was already living all the commandments and received an answer to prayer and everything but she just got really nervous saturday night and sunday morning and almost backed out but thankfully we have a lot of great young women in our ward that helped her out.
janaina was a little more difficult, we have now been teaching her for almost a month and she is a great person but a little stubborn haha. but that's the miracle- since we have been teaching her and she has been praying regularly and applying the principles in her life, i have noticed a big change in her. elder figueiredo is gonna laugh the next time when i see him and tell him that she was finally baptized and how different she is. i think it all started with the book of mormon- after teaching her, we left her with the book and a part marked for her to read and she didn't want to. but that night she started reading and couldn't put it down- and we found out through her friends that she has been reading every chance she gets- school, on the bus, etc. haha i have really enjoyed seeing the conversion of many people.
today we are gonna head to Alecrim, one of the really cool places in natal to buy some stuff we need and try to have some fun there. we have really been wanting to actually do stuff on p-days but by the time monday comes we are so tired that we don't even wanna leave the house. one of the things that these places are famous for are their smoothies, so i will have to drink 2 or 3 different kinds today while i´m there.
speaking of food, i have made my final decision of the first place i am gonna eat when i get home and it is gonna be costa vida! probably a sweet pork burrito and a mr. pibb, which i forgot existed until recently. i wish a good week to everyone and next monday i wanna hear what everyone is gonna be for halloween!
love elder sherwood

LIAR!!!!
if "final" means just until the next time he writes, then he's telling the truth.
thanks, e. sherwood for the chuckle.
and contratulations on yet another great baptizing week!
He must really be in missionary mode to have forgotten about Mr. Pibb, the Dr's distant cousin.
He as really helped bring up the numbers in the YM/YW!!
